Well, I’m back! I had to step away from this writing process for a while, mostly just because life got busy. I feel a little bad that I stepped away just as I was setting up an important segment of Jessica’s story….but life happens. I thought today, the first day of Autism Awareness month 2019 was a good day to step back into writing here.
If you are viewing my blog for the first time, I encourage you to read from the beginning because the next entry after today will attempt to pick up where I left off. My plan for this year will also include discussing important gaps in our system that I have found along the way to be missing, especially in small towns like mine. I welcome and encourage comments and resource sharing from everyone. I really would like this to become a community for discussion through sharing of my story as a parent with a (now adult) child on the Spectrum.
